The Walker Square Farmer’s Market offers seasonal farm-fresh produce from early June through October. The Market opens Sunday, June 1, 2014! The market is open Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The market operates in the center of Walker Square Park, located between Mineral & Washington and 9th & 10th Streets (four blocks south of National Avenue and seven blocks west of the Walker’s Point entertainment district).
Walker Square Park is a wonderful venue for a farmers’ market. Park amenities include convenient parking, public restrooms, a newly designed and constructed playground, a wading pool, bicycle racks, plenty of green space and abundant shade!
From Huitlacoche to Squash Blossoms
Our farmers manage and till small plots from 1 to 4 acres in southeastern Wisconsin. Providing quality delicious produce to Walker Square residents and restaurants interested in supporting organic, local family farms.
We try to post photographs of produce currently offered at the market so that prospective customers can browse our Facebook page before traveling to the market. We do our best to cater to the needs of the community cultivating everything from apples and onions to such specialty crops such as huitlacoche, lemon grass, and squash blossoms.
If you are an adventurous eater or a budding eclectic chef, you’ll find a wonderful array of seasonal produce! Bring the kids, grandma and a camera to our gastronomical safari!
